This year, I am not going to make any New Years resolutions. Why? Because I won't follow through. Simple enough.
What I will do, however, is do what needs to be done when it needs to be done. It seems best fit for how everything is going in my life. I'm still thinking through my career situation. I have to find a job over the summer so I can pay for school next year. I need to get a better ACT score - I made a 21.
I also plan to take more photos and do more online. I want to get a good camera. Using my phone has worked when I can find the right lighting and such, but I want something better. That costs moolah. . .
I'm just going to take 2009 as it comes and plan for college.
I wish everyone a safe and wonderous New Year.
You know what? I've been thinking that majoring in Electrical Engineering isn't going to make me happy. Not at all. I think that I'm only doing all of this to make my parents happy, which isn't making me happy at all. I honestly want to go to college to do something that expresses who I am. Who I want to become. Who I want to be. Right now, I could tell a random person that I don't know that I despise math. It has never been my strong point. I was amazed to even find out that I had passed Calculus and Physics, but barely. Ohhhh... If only it was easier to tell parents how you felt about school. I just don't want to let them down.
OSSM is GREAT! I'm not putting down the school. I'm just not cut out for that tough math. I aced my English class. I'm good with creative stuff. I love to paint. I love to make music. I love to help others. I love to knit. I love web design. I love making friends.
I want to do something in Photography or something to do in Web Design. That is what I have wanted to do since fourth grade. I want to do something that I will love to do, and right now, Engineering isn't it.
No one should dread something this much. D;
I am so happy that I'm finally getting out of my stupid high school soon. I'm not even learning anything there anymore. All the humanities and chemistry stuff we have been taught so far is stuff I either knew already or I learned at OSSM. I can't wait until I'm just in college. I don't even know how any other students could go with just going through high school. I still have my senior year to deal with.
Mounds is just stupid.
Monday a student had written in the dirt on a car "clean me." He received three days of in school detention. Does our principal have a thing against students? What the hello? Also, our handbook doesn't state that we can not write "clean me" upon anyone's car. Heck, it doesn't say anything about writing on cars anywhere.
So, my question is what have been some of the stupid/crazy stuff that teachers or your school had pulled on the students. Was their something about the handbook that you disagreed with?
